Would it be possible to add an option where the last X locations, and/or last X days are shown in an active trip. I would like to show where I have been lately without a ton of history. For example, have it set to the last 20 locations. Another example would be to have it show at least 2 days, AND at least 20 locations, so if you are stopped for a few days, it shows a trail, and if you are moving continuously, it shows at least 2 days even if that is more than 20 locations.
For security, some might want to show at least 2 days worth, but not the last 24 hours. Although I would think that would be a bit too complicated and the secure zones do an OK job of that.
By default SpotWalla will find the most recent locations and display some number of them. In most cases, especially for an active trip, this is acceptable functionality. But if you want to force SpotWalla to display the last 48 hours (or any multiple of 24), then just add a few parameters to the trip link. For instance...
The hoursPast parameter is the number of hours (in multiples of 24) you want to show. In the link above I set it to 4 days or 96 hours. The showAll parameter tells SpotWalla to pan/zoom the map so all locations are visible. And the fillFactor parameter tells SpotWalla the percentage of tracking locations to display.
So if you take one of your trip links and add the following parameters to the end of it, you'll get the desired affect:
